Since today I will start a series of articles about the best places you can visit in Albania during summer. Enjoy them! I will start from the southernmost part of Albania and start going up North.

Butrint
Butrint is one of Albania’s most important archaeological sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in the south of the country, it showcases the remains of ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine, and Venetian civilizations, surrounded by stunning natural landscapes and rich biodiversity.




Ksamil
Ksamil is a picturesque coastal village on the Albanian Riviera, famous for its crystal-clear turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and small offshore islands. It is a popular destination for swimming, relaxation, and enjoying fresh seafood by the sea.






Saranda
Saranda is a vibrant seaside city in southern Albania, known for its beautiful waterfront promenade, Mediterranean atmosphere, and breathtaking views of the Ionian Sea. It serves as a gateway to nearby attractions such as Butrint, Ksamil, and the Blue Eye spring.




Blue Eye (Syri i Kaltër)
The Blue Eye is one of Albania’s most spectacular natural attractions, located about 20 kilometers from Saranda. This stunning freshwater spring is famous for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and deep, vivid blue center, which resembles a human eye. Surrounded by lush forests and untouched nature, the Blue Eye offers visitors a peaceful retreat and a unique opportunity to experience one of the country’s most beautiful natural wonders.
