A Conversation with the Frontline: An Interview with Our Community Manager
Hello, my dear and lovely readers,
Today, I am honored to present an interview with one of the true pillars of our game—a man who is widely respected and loved by the vast majority of our community on the official server.
To respect his privacy, I avoided any personal questions regarding his real-world identity, which I am sure you all understand. Instead, this interview focuses entirely on his daily routine, his career as our Community Manager, and his perspectives on our community.
Without further ado, let’s dive into the conversation!
Q: How often do you drink coffee, and what are your best and worst memories associated with it?
A: I can not imagine my daily life without at least a cup or two of coffee. The best memory would be a cold day in winter, having a cup of good coffee next to my office. Bad memory? I guess when there is work to do and I have ran out of coffee.
Q: Do you like pets? Which animal is your personal favorite?
A: Pets are really good company to human, personally I am more of a dog person. While growing up we always had a dog in the family.
Q: What is life like as a Community Manager for eDominations?
A: Interesting question, for me personally I find it exciting to communicate with the players and always seeking new ways to spread awareness for eDominations and do our best to grow this community. As every work there are challenges, but patience and proper communication are the keys.
Q: How do you feel when players type in languages other than English in areas where it is restricted?
A: Honestly I love the multicultural community in eDominations and therefore I endorse content created in native languages. The only restriction is the global chat which we enforce the English as mandatory to maintain a welcoming space for every player to participate in the dialogue. Despite that each community with local players must create their own content such as gameplay guides, local news and community related topics in their language.
Q: What is your honest take on Kaveh?
A: Kaveh has proven himself as one of the most loyal players in eDominations, despite that everyone knows spam is his second nickname. Sometimes I am intrigued to enforce the mute punishment, to reduce the spam effect created by him. I endorse his interviews and original content!
Q: If you had the chance to choose an entirely new career path for yourself, what would it be?
A: A new career would be really challenging, assuming I have dedicated myself to computer science since a really young age. Maybe I would go for outdoor activities and such.
Q: You show incredible patience when replying to players. Where do you find the energy to maintain that level of calm?
A: Every job has some attributes which are mandatory to complete the daily routine tasks successfully and furthermore be able to develop your personal aspects. Patience is the number one aspect while having to communicate properly with different people from all over the world. If problems occur I always take into consideration the way a player could be feeling, while always trying to preserve the fairness and integrity of eDominations as a whole.
Q: The player base likes you a lot! Why do you think you have become such a community favorite?
A: To be fair I am certain that many players do not see me that way and that is okay. Both me and Admin handle every possible problem, sometimes I get the chance to be on the front and players might judge me positively. Ultimately there is nothing done as a single person, it is always the both of us working in every single direction to satisfy the needs of the majority and maintain the balance.
I want to extend a huge thank you to our beloved Community Manager for taking the time to answer these questions so patiently. I wish him the absolute best of luck in both his career and his real life!
I truly hope you all enjoyed reading this short interview.
Regards,
Kaveh
